Terms of Service

By installing, accessing, or using any Roca Software application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Roca Software ("we," "us," "our") regarding your use of the Apps, superseding any prior agreements.

Roca Software apps are designed to operate entirely on your device. All core functionality — image processing, filters, adjustments, compass readings, chess computations, financial calculations, and any other primary feature — is executed locally using your device's hardware and software.

We do not transmit your photos, documents, personal files, or user-generated content to our servers, because we do not operate servers that receive or store such content. Your data stays on your device.

Third-party services integrated into our apps (such as analytics, advertising, and payment processing) operate under their own privacy policies and may collect data as described in Section 7.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the platform through which you obtained the App (Apple App Store or Google Play).

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or sell the App or any portion of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to circumvent any in-app purchase or subscription mechanism

We do not warrant that:

• The Apps will meet your requirements or expectations
• The Apps will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Any results obtained from the Apps (including processed images, measurements, calculations, or game outcomes) will be accurate, complete, or reliable
• Any defects in the Apps will be corrected

You acknowledge that your use of the Apps is at your sole risk. Any output produced by the Apps — including but not limited to edited photos, compass readings, financial summaries, or chess analysis — should not be relied upon for professional, medical, legal, financial, navigational, or safety-critical purposes.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Apps shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $5.00, whichever is greater.

Because the Apps process all data locally on your device, we bear no responsibility for:

• Loss or corruption of photos, files, or data on your device
• Consequences of results produced by the App (e.g., financial decisions made using a Money Manager output, navigational decisions made using compass readings)
• Incompatibility with specific devices, iOS/Android versions, or configurations
• Any interruption to the App caused by your device, OS updates, or third-party services

Some Apps offer in-app purchases, including one-time purchases and auto-renewing subscriptions, processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

• Subscription renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices at any time. You will receive advance notice and the change will take effect upon your next renewal.
• Refunds: All refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple or Google under their respective policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.
• Restoration: Purchases can be restored on any device signed in to the same account.

Our Apps may integrate third-party services that operate independently under their own terms and privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — advertising network. May collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization, subject to your ATT/consent choices.
• Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics to improve the Apps. Does not receive personal files or user-created content.
• Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing — in-app purchase processing. We do not receive or store your payment information.

We do not sell your personal data. Photos and files you process with our Apps remain on your device and are never transmitted to us. For full privacy details, please refer to each App's Privacy Policy available on its App Store listing.

You are solely responsible for:

• Any content you create, edit, or share using our Apps
• Ensuring your use of the Apps complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• Maintaining the security of your device and your accounts
• Any consequences arising from content you export or share via the Apps

You agree not to use the Apps to create, process, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or infringing on third-party rights.

All intellectual property rights in the Apps — including software, design, graphics, logos, and branding — are owned by or licensed to Roca Software. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of intellectual property to you.

You retain all rights to your own content (photos, files, text) that you process using the Apps. We claim no ownership over content created or edited by you.

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. By using our Apps, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are aware that a child under 13 is using our Apps without parental consent, please contact us.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. For material changes, we will provide notice through the App or the App Store listing.

Your continued use of the Apps after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Roca Software is established, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Apps shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or, where required by law, in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
