Smart Chess Game will be updated to target Android 16 (API 36), required by Google Play for continued listing and compatibility with modern Android devices.
What's being updated
- Updated Gradle and AGP to current versions
- Full AndroidX migration
- Updated Google Play Billing Library
- Updated AdMob SDK
- Edge-to-edge display adjustments
The core chess engine and gameplay will remain unchanged. Smart Chess Game is available for free on Google Play with an optional purchase to remove ads.
